Student Association

S7(2016-2020)Batch of students visited Water Treatment Plant at Kerala Water Authority, Choondy, Puthencruz, to study about water purification process for public supply on 31-Aug-2019. Asst.Professor Suramya PM and Asst. Professor Binol Varghese accompanied the group of 29 students.


Civil Engineering department association of MGMCET act as an excellent platform for the students to extend the boundaries of their technical knowledge beyond the prescribed curriculum. SRISHTI – as the name signifies "Creation” paves way for the creation of new ideas in young minds. It aims in designing sustainable solutions for solving problems of mankind and reinforce the solution by means of technical knowledge and finally moulding the students to lead a civilized path.
This association includes all students of civil engineering department. Varying activities are organized with an aim of technically equipping the students and is initiated under the strong guidance of Prof. A.I. Kuriakose, (HOD) and other faculty members.

Executive Committee Members- Two students from each class
•    All Civil Engineering students during their respective course duration ( Btech, Mtech) are members of the association
•    Membership will get automatically ceased after the completion of course
•    The working period of each committee will be one academic year
•    For the successful functioning of the association, a negotiable sum is collected from students as membership fees
•    Each year one student is selected from S7 as chairman, one student from S5 class as secretary and one student from S3 as treasurer.
•    All the Extracurricular activities of Civil Engineering department are monitored by Civil Engineering association
•    All association activities for the academic year starts by inauguration followed by a technical talk, presentation by some eminent personalities in civil engineering field
•    Monthly meetings are conducted for assessing and reviewing the varying activities of the association.
